ST CLARE SCHOOL AKULUTO HOLDS LITERARY EVENTS-CUM-BAGLESS DAY AND
CRAFT DAY
St Clare School, Akuluto, organised a Literary Events-cum-Bagless
Day on 17 and 18 September 2026 for students from Classes I to X,
providing them with an opportunity to explore their creativity,
talents and skills beyond the regular classroom setting.
Held under the inspiring theme “Explore Your Talents, Discover New
You!”, the Bagless Day encouraged students to learn through
participation, creativity and self-expression. Instead of carrying
their regular school bags, students took part in a wide range of
literary, artistic and co-curricular activities.
The two-day programme featured numerous events, including Drawing
Competition, Quiz Competition, Prepared Speech, Extempore Speech,
Spell Bee, Crossword Crusade, Art Crusade, Visual Memory Game,
Verbal Vortex (Debate), Monologue Slam (Solo Acting), Creative
Writing, Essay Writing, Poem Recitation, Solo Singing, Solo Dance,
Storytelling, Word Wizard, Grammar Challenge, Face Painting, Nail
Painting and Custom Design Competition. Students also participated
in Classroom Decoration, adding colour and creativity to their
learning environment./
The activities were designed to help students develop important
skills such as communication, public speaking, critical thinking,
imagination, artistic expression, confidence and teamwork. The
enthusiastic participation of the students turned the school campus
into a lively space of learning and creativity.
The initiative reflected the school's belief that education goes
beyond textbooks and examinations. Through the Bagless Day, students
were given the freedom to “Unplug, Explore, Experience and Shine”,
while discovering talents and abilities that may not always emerge
during regular academic lessons.
Craft Day for Primary Students
Continuing the spirit of experiential learning, 19 September 2026
was observed as a Craft Day for the primary students of St Clare
School. The teachers guided the young learners through various
hands-on craft activities, teaching them how to create bouquets and
other creative items using simple materials.
The activity provided the children with an enjoyable opportunity to
learn through doing. With the guidance and encouragement of their
teachers, the students enthusiastically engaged in cutting,
arranging, designing and decorating their craft works. The activity
helped develop their creativity, fine motor skills, patience,
concentration and appreciation for art and beauty.
The Craft Day also strengthened the bond between teachers and
students as teachers actively participated in guiding and
encouraging the children throughout the activities.
The three-day series of activities demonstrated St Clare School's
commitment to providing holistic and joyful education, where
academic learning is complemented by creativity, talent development
and practical experiences.
As the school's Bagless Day message aptly expressed: “Every Child a
Creator, Every Talent a Treasure!” The initiative gave students a
platform to discover their abilities, express themselves with
confidence and learn valuable skills for life.
