The Bishop in his introduction said, “Brother Crispin was a kind and humble
person. He was helpful to all, living the true spirit of St Francis of
Assisi”.
Fr Joel preached a heart touching homily. He said, "Brother Crispin was a
simple brother, lived his life for Christ. The death of the person is a day
not just to weep, to pray and to honour but also a day to thank, to confess
and to have a clear picture of death.”
Fr Gerald Lobo, the Superior of Monte Mariano Friary, in his eulogy
beautifully narrated the life of Br Crispin. He described Br Crispin was a
man of patience. He loved everyone equally, always ready to help out anyone.
Even in his ill health and suffering, he never blamed God or anyone rather
endured patiently. He also thanked everyone for helping out Br Crispin
during his suffering, specially the friars of Farangipet and the Novices who
always loved and cared for him.
On behalf of the family members, Baltazar, the brother of Br Crispin
expressed his gratitude towards the Provincial and all Capuchin friars who
were a part of Br Crispin’s life journey.
Fr Alwyn Dias expressed his gratitude to the bishop, priests, friars,
religious sisters and the people gathered, for their presence and Fr Gerald
Lobo and community for making all arrangements of the funeral.
Soon after the Eucharistic celebration, with due honour, the funeral rites
were conducted by the Provincial Minister Fr Alwyn Dias and thereafter the
body was laid to rest in Capuchin cemetery at Monte Mariano Farangipet.
