St. Anthony’s Feast Celebrated at St.Anthony’s P.U.College, Kengeri
13th June 2013 was an opportunity for the Anthonians to have a triple celebration. The founder of the Institute Rev. Fr. Vincent Furtado and the Co-founder Rev. Fr. Chetan Lobo were to be honored for their contributions to the institute. It was also an opportunity to remember our patron St. Anthony, under whose protection this educational ministry is carried out. The inauguration of the P.U. College Academic year was also another event celebrated. Rev. Fr. Alwyn Dias, the Director of the Institute presided the event. Rev. Fr. Veerus Concessao, Principal of the Degree College compered and organized the event. Rev. Fr. Roshan Rosario, Principal of P.U. College oriented the new come students on the programme for the academic year.

It was heartbreaking, however, not to have the company of Fr. Chetan, who was unable to make it to the occasion. Fr. Vincent Furtado spoke to the gathering about the mission and vision of the institute. He presided over the festive mass and preached an inspiring homily on the life of St. Anthony of Padua.

The event was enriched by the presence of the Capuchin fathers from different communities in Bangalore, the sisters in the vicinity, the staff, the parents and the students. The Degree students (the college choir) along with P.U. students, especially the candidate sisters of Pushpasadhan, put up a beautiful choir for the mass as well as the program.
