Report and Photos of inauguration of capuchin house, Dimapur - Nagaland

he Capuchin Study House Dimapur, meant for the future formation house for the North Eastern students of our Order was inaugurated by Br. Provincial and blessed by Most Rev. Dr. James toppil on 21st January 2013. The foundation stone for the building was laid by Rev. Br. Vincent Gabriel Furtado the Provincial Minister in the month of October 2009. Having completed the first phase of the construction, the house was inaugurated so that it can begin to shelter the friars and all who come. On this occasion the Bishop of Kohima Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil the Bishop of Kohima was present to bless the house and officiated the Eucharist. There were around 120 religious and lay people present for the function. On this occasion of joy and happiness for God's blessings, the friars are grateful to various funding agencies for their contributions particularly, our General Curia Economic Solidarity, Rome. We remain grateful to our General Minister Br. Mauro Johri OFM Cap. for taking keen interest in developing our Mission work. the friars of the region are very much thankful to Rev. Br. Provincial Minister Vincent G. Furtado for his personal involvement into our Mission endevour. May God Be Praised.
