66th Independence day celebrated in Sneha Jyothi Vidyalaya


The 66th Independence Day was celebrated in Sneha Jyothi Vidyalaya in a grand scale. The guests on the day were Rev. Sr. Nirmala, the superior of Anugraha Convent Pothnal, the president of the Sneha Jyothi Vidyalaya Rev. Fr. Robin Lopez and some other local guests and parents of the students. The programme began at 8.30am by prayer and by welcoming the guest to dais. The four house of the school namely, Red, Blue, Indigo and Green with at most discipline paid respect to the guest with march past. Thereupon, the flag was hoisted by Rev. Sr. Nirmala. Then the guests and children enlightened all by their well prepared speeches and reminded everyone the we should be proud be Indians. In the speeches some of the guests highlighted some of the social issues to live the freedom on a more meaningful manner. The function continued as the cultural four houses of the school were ready perform skits, dances, singing etc. The brothers from Clara Vihar also sang a song and performed a beautiful dance. Thus the function ended with a vote of thanks. Then the guests were given cold drinks and snacks and children were too were given sweets (bundi ladu and mixture in a packet). In the evening at 6pm the flag was unhoisted with utmost care in the presence of some children.
