EASTER CELEBRATION IN ST
CLARE CHURCH AKULUTO - NAGALAND
St. Clare’s Church marked the joyous feast of Easter on Sunday, April 5,
2026, with great devotion and community spirit. The celebration brought
together parishioners, youth, and families in a vibrant expression of
faith, hope, and renewal.
A special highlight of the occasion was the participation of the youth
from Nagaland University, who joined the parish community in large
numbers. Their presence added enthusiasm and energy to the liturgical
celebration, reflecting the growing involvement of young people in the
life of the Church.
The solemn Easter Mass was presided over with reverence, and Fr. Stephen
delivered a meaningful and inspiring homily. Emphasizing the
significance of the Resurrection, he described Easter as “a feast of
hope,” reminding the faithful that Christ’s victory over death brings
light into moments of darkness and renews the promise of new life.
The liturgy was further enriched by active participation from the
Catholic youth, who presented a special musical number. Their
performance, filled with joyful melodies and spiritual depth, uplifted
the congregation and highlighted the talents of young members of the
community.
The church was beautifully decorated with flowers, candles, and symbols
of the Resurrection, creating a serene and festive atmosphere. The choir
led the congregation in vibrant Easter hymns, making the celebration
prayerful and uplifting.
Immediately following the Mass, a festive meal was organized on the
church grounds. The meal, lovingly prepared by the mothers of the
Catholic community, became a moment of fellowship and sharing.
Parishioners, students, and guests gathered together, strengthening
bonds of unity and gratitude.
The Easter celebration at St. Clare’s not only commemorated the
Resurrection of Christ but also fostered a deep sense of community,
faith, and hope among all who attended.
