Chapter-2022: Day Six
On the Sixth Day 30th April 2022 at 6.00 the capitulars gathered in the
chapel for the Morning Prayer and the Holy Eucharist. Br Isaac Baptist
Rodrigues, the Delegate from Infant Jesus Delegation, Nagaland and
Manipur presided over the Holy Eucharist. Br Stany Roshan D’Souza, the
Delegate from Christ the King Delegation, Mizoram, Tripura & Barak
valley Region and Br. Arun Philomenaraj the Delegate from St. Pio
Delegation Sri Lanka, concelebrated the Eucharist. After the Eucharist
group photo session was held.
Immediately after the photo session the Chapter President Br. John
Baptist Palliparambil, newly elected Provincial Minister Br. John Alwyn
Dias, Vicar Provincial Br. Paul Melwyn D’Souza and all the elected
councilors participated in Blessing of the Foundation Stone, for the New
St Antony’s School in the premises of Shanthi Sadhana FISI.
At 9:30 the Capitulars gathered in the Chapter hall. Br Maxim D’Silva
the First Chapter Secretary invited Br. Denis Veigas to moderate the
session. After the Roll Call by Br. Elvin Lopes the Second Chapter
Secretary, the Moderator gave a short introduction on the resolutions of
the IX Provincial Chapter, April 2022 of the Holy Trinity Province
Karnataka. The first Chapter Secretary was asked to read out the
resolutions one by one for the discussion. Having thanked Br. Denis
Veigas, at 11:15 a.m Br Maxim D’Silva the First Chapter Secretary
invited Br. Edwin Colaco to moderate the further session.
Having passed the resolutions and recommendation the Chapter Secretary
invited the Chapter President to address the gathering. Br. John Baptist
Palliparambil, Chapter President called everyone to live a fraternal
life by reflection on the Cross of Christ. He encouraged all the
Capitulars with words of our General Minister to give a Constitutional
Witness to the world. He asked us to give importance to the fraternal
life through our life witnesses. He said that all the capitulars to walk
side by side, as Jesus sent two by two and asked the formators to form
the formees to live well fraternal life.
The Provincial Minister Br. John Alwyn Dias gave vote of thanks.
Praising Holy Trinity he thanked Chapter President, the guest brothers,
the Delegates of the missions, all the Capitulars, Observers, and
representatives. Having thanked everyone he gave a call to build the
Province, by dreaming for a Great Province.
At the end of the session. Holy to the HOLY TRINITY the undivided Unity.
