Chapter-2022: Day Four
On the Fourth Day, 28th April 2022, at 6.00 am all the capitulars
gathered in the chapel for the Morning Prayer and the Holy Eucharist. Br
John Baluku, Custos of the Custody of St Charles Lwanga presided over
the Holy Eucharist. Br. Lorenzo Motti, Provincial Minister of the
Province of Emilia Romagna, and Br. Patrick Crasta, concelebrated the
Eucharist.
At 9.00 a.m capitulars gathered together for the continuation of the
sessions in the Chapter hall. Br Maxim D’Silva, first Chapter Secretary
welcomed the moderator, Br. Rocky D’Cunna, Chapter President Br. John
Baptist Palliparambil and the re-elected Provincial Minister Br. John
Alwyn Dias.
Br Elvin Lopes, second Chapter Secretary took the roll call, after which
Br. Rocky D’Cunna, the moderator welcomed Br. John Baluk. Many
Capitulars encouraged and appreciated the presentation of the Custody
Report along with Chapter President Br. John Baptist Palliparambil. Br.
John Baptist Palliparambil requested the Provincial Minister to give a
helping hand to the custody by sending the friars for the mission.
Br. Rocky D’Cunha, invited Br. Isaac Baptist Rodrigues, the Delegate
from Infant Jesus Delegation, Nagaland and Manipur. Br. Isaac Baptist
Rodrigues presented the Delegation report well and was appreciated by
all the capitulars for the strenuous missionary work and for their
recent plans of venturing into new places.
Br. Rocky, then, invited Br Stany Roshan D’Souza, the Delegate of Christ
the King Delegation, Mizoram, Tripura & Barak Valley Region. Br Stany
presented the report of the mission excellently and was appreciated by
all. The house applauded the brothers from Christ the King Delegation,
Mizoram, Tripura & Barak valley Region for their hard work to make the
Delegation self-sufficient.
The Capitulars gathered in the Chapter hall at 3.00 p.m. The first
Chapter Secretary Br Maxim D’Silva invited Br. Denis Veigas to moderate
the session who invited the Delegate from Sri Lanka Br. Arun
Philomenaraj to present the report of the St. Pio Delegation. Many of
the capitulars appreciated Br. Arun Philomenaraj for his report. Br.
Arun sought prayerful support as the country undergoing crisis,
capitulars showed their concern towards the friars in Sri Lanka.
Br Denis Veigas the moderator of the session invited the Custos of Japan
Br Maxim D’Souza to present the report of the custody. Having presented
the report some points were clarified by the capitulars.
All the capitulars gathered for the session to discuss on the agenda at
5:30 pm. Br Denis Veigas Moderated the session. Two points of the agenda
were discussed, and thereafter at 7:30 all the capitulars gathered in
the Chapel for the evening Prayer and Meditation. The cultural committee
hosted a short cultural programme in the evening.
