INFANT JESUS DELEGATION, NAGALAND-MANIPUR.
A SHORT REPORT OF THE 3RD DELEGATION ASSEMBLY, 9-11TH SEPT, 2016.
The much awaited assembly of Infant Jesus delegation was conducted from
9th to 11th September, 2016 by Rev. Br. Provincial Joseph Dolphy Pais
Ofm.Cap, the Provincial Minister of Holy Trinity Province Karnatatka,
and was held at Capuchin House, Dimapur, Nagaland.
The assembly began with Solemn Eucharistic celebration, presided over by
Rev. Br. Joseph Dolphy Pais and concelebrated by 12 friars of the
delegation. Br. Vincent Serrao Cap, the first councilor welcomed the
Provincial and friars for the Eucharistic celebration. After the
Eucharistic celebration the assembly began at 8.30 a.m with a prayer
service conducted by Liturgical committee. Soon after this Br. Mathias
Dias delivered a welcome address and thanked the friars for helping him
to work for the delegation for the last three years.
After this Br. Provincial took the in charge of the assembly and spoke
about identity and belongingness’ of the friars in the Capuchin
Franciscan Order. Thereafter the delegation report was read by the
delegate Br. Mathias Dias, financial report was read by delegation
treasurer Br. Vincent Serrao and the Vocation report was read by Br.
Justin Sumi. After evaluating the reports, the agenda was taken up for
the meeting.
The meeting was concluded on 11th evening at 4.30 p.m by Provincial, who
thanked the delegate and his councilors and all the friars, committees
for the success of the delegation assembly. In the evening during supper
Br. Cyril Anand Second Councilor, thanked Provincial and all the friars
for shouldering different responsibilities for the success of the
assembly. After the conclusion of the assembly Br. Provincial visited
various communities in Nagaland and Manipur and left to Bangalore on the
14th of September.
