THE DIACONAL ORDINATION OF 17 BROTHERS:
DITH On the great Solemnity of the Saints Peter and Paul, the Capuchin
Friars of the Holy Trinity Province, Karnataka rejoiced with the 17
brothers ordained to the ministry of Diaconate. On 29th of June, 2015
Most Rev Dr. Bernard Moras, the Archbishop of Bangalore amidst the
presence of numerous priests, religious and lay faithful, bestowed on 17
brothers the Order of Diaconate. The Celebration was held in Darshan
Institute of Theology (DITh), Deena Seva Ashram, the Capuchin Theologate

invited the brothers to be the joy of the Gospel and the joy of the
mission. He also gave a call for them to be faithful and committed in
their vocation. Thus 13 capuchin brothers of Holy Trinity Province,
Karnataka; 2 capuchin brothers of St. Anthony’s Province, Goa and 2
Benedictine brothers were raised to the order of the clergy. They are
now commissioned to ‘believe what they read, teach what they believe and
practice what they teach’. The celebration had a better look with the
presence of many priests, religious, friends and benefactors and the
family members of the deacons. With the felicitation program and a
delicious lunch organized by the Community of DITh the celebration
reached its closure.
