Installation of new Parish
of Our Lady of Lourdes, Karubele ‘How lovely is your dwelling place O Lord’, says the Psalmist. Surely
this was the feeling of all those who were present for the canonical
erection of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Karubele, on 12th of July 2015. As
the preparation for the same was on a high note the jubilation was doubled
with the appointment of Rev. Fr. Satish Kumar, OFM, Cap, as the Parochial
Administrator. From now on he would enjoy all rights and fulfil all the
obligations of a Parish Priest. Rev. Fr. Joseph Dolphy Pais, Provincial
Minister, Holy Trinity Province, Karnataka was the main celebrant. He along
with Fr. Alexander Daniel, Dean of the Kengeri Deanery, canonically erected
the Parish and officially appointed Fr. Satish as the Parish Priest during
the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration. Many Priests, religious brothers and
sisters, along with the parishioners witnessed this event. Fr. Joseph Dolphy
Pais gave a call for all to be the witnesses of the faith we profess. Brs.
Santhosh Castelino and Edwin D’ Souza organized a melodious choir with the
co-operation of the youth association of the parish. After the Holy
Eucharist a short felicitation program was held, honouring the guests of
honour. Later the celebration came to a glorious end with the delicious meal
enjoyed by all present.
