LAYING FOUNDATION STONE FOR BOYS HOSTEL AT HIDKAL DAM,BELGAUM
17th of January, Sunday was a
day of joy where our most Rev. Peter Machado, the bishop of Belgaum gave a
visit to our parish at Hidkal Dam. The day began with the Holy Eucharist,
where bishop spoke about the church concern towards the poor specially the
children. After the mass we had a small function in which the foundation
stone was laid for the St. Michael’s boy’s hostel. Rev. Bishop blessed and
laid the foundation stone. The ceremony was attended by Fr. Lancy Rebello,
the Parish Priest of Hidkal dam, the parish sisters, parishioners and Mr.
Dixit, the engineer. Mr. Robert D’souza, the Contractor and workers. The
function was well organized. Parish Priest welcomed and proposed vote of
thanks. At the end breakfast was served.
