Seminar on Faith at FISI
The Holy Trinity
Province-Karnataka organized two days seminar on Faith for the capuchin
Brothers of the Province on 27th and 28the of January 2014, at FISI. On the
27th the seminar begun with a Prayer song led by the theology brothers
followed by the key note address given by the Provincial Minister Fr. Joseph
Dolphy Pais, he stressed that we need to preach the gospel with unction,
conviction and not merely function. He also the introduced the speaker of
the day Fr. Jacob Parappally MSFS. The speaker in depth spoke about the
Faith in the life of a Priest and different stages in the growth of faith in
each person and stressed the importance of being human and proactive in our
service to the society. On the second day Vicar provincial Fr. John Alwyn
Dais, introduced the theme of the day that is Faith and Community Life. He
too introduced the speaker of the day Fr. Jossie Lobo S.J. The speaker spoke
in detail how faith and community life are mutually related and the three
fold understanding of Faith. Looking at the participation and the feedback
from the participants it was a grand success because both the resource
persons were well versed in their given theme and they shared their vast
insights and experience with us. We thank both the speakers for their
availability and we too thank Fr. Dennis Veighas, Director of Shanthi
Sadhana, FISI for providing us the accommodation and making our stay
comfortable.
