TREASURER MEETING - SACCIDANANDA The Treasurer has a watchdog role over all aspects of financial
management, working closely with the Superior to safeguard the finances of
each fraternity and province at large. Given these responsibilities, the
treasures of the Province were called for a day’s meeting on the 08th of
February 2015, at Saccidananda, Capuchin Provincialate, Rajajinagar –
Bangalore, to discuss and to clarify various points on how to manage
efficiently the economy of the house. Provincial Minister Rev. Fr. Joseph
Dolphy Pais, in his key note address, exhorted the treasurers to be
committed and transparent in handling finances of the house and asked them
to be responsible to the given task. Fr. Joachim D’souza, Province
Treasurer, presented point by point the main responsibility of a treasurer.
He presented extensively about book keeping, maintaining the ledger book,
cash book, pass book, PF, ESI, Fixed Deposits and its renewal, societies,
Trusts and its registration, renewal etc. Many doubts in management of the
accounts were clarified during the discussion hour. Fr. Andrew Anil Sequeira
was moderator during the discussion hour.
