Annual Parish Feast of Banakal Church Our Lady of Nativity Church, Banakal celebrated Annual parish Feast on
19th February 2014. On the previous day at 5-30 p.m. there was Eucharistic
celebration followed by Eucharistic adoration and Eucharistic procession in
the Banakal town. Fr. Dancy Sunil Martis, the Principal of Infant Jesus
School, Chikmagalur was the main celebrant who preached an inspiring homily
and led the Eucharistic adoration. The Eucharistic procession was grand and
witnessed by a lot of people. The Eucharistic procession was very grand.
After the Eucharistic procession meals were served for all the Faithful.
On 19th February 2014, at 10-30 a.m. the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration of
the Feast Day was begun. Fr. Patrick Joannes, the parish priest of Kadur
parish was the main celebrant. I8 priests concelebrated the Eucharistic
celebration. Fr. Sudeep Santhan Gonsalves, the parish priest of Banakal
parish did all the arrangements required for the feast. The liturgical Choir
was fantastic. The Choir sang well. It was trained by Fr. Sudeep Santhan
Gonsalves.
