19TH DEATH ANNIVERSARY OF FR.
ALFRED ROCHE It is 19 years since Fr. Alfred Roche left this earthly abode
and joined the choirs of angles above. But in the scripture says ‘
Love is stronger than death’. (Song of Songs ch. 8.6.) We still
cheris the most sweet and saintly memories of his holy life of love
of God and love of Neighbour.
The 19th death anniversary mass was presided over by very Rev. Dr.
Dolphy Pais, Provincial of Holy Trinity Province, Karnataka,
together with many con concelebrants at Holy Family Parish
Brahamavar, at11.45 am. The mass was attended by great number of
faithful from different parishes of Mangalore, Udupi and Karwar
dioceses, where Fr. Alfred Roche rendered his services. After the
mass a short prayer service was conducted at the holy tomb and
thereafter a short reception organised by the capuchis and relatives
of Fr. Alfred Roche.
The Holy Trinity Provice Karnataka has begun the process of raising
Fr. Alfred Roche to the Sainthood.
